Canada Strong Pass

The Canada Strong Pass is back for a second summer, and it gives you free or discounted access to some of Canada’s most iconic experiences. That includes savings on VIA Rail, Parks Canada sites, and several museums and galleries across the country. If you’ve been thinking about a summer getaway, a family trip, or even just a few local adventures, this is definitely worth checking out.

If you’re planning any summer travel in Canada, this is one of the best deals I’ve seen lately.

Here’s what you can get with it:

With VIA Rail, children and youth aged 17 and under can travel free in Economy class when they’re with an adult. This applies to Escape and Economy fares on all VIA Rail routes across Canada, and the promo code is “CANADAFAM.”

Young adults aged 18 to 24 can get 25% off Escape and Economy fares in Economy class on all VIA Rail routes across the country using the promo code “CANADA1824.”

There are also some great Parks Canada savings. Admission is free for everyone at national parks, national historic sites, and national marine conservation areas operated by Parks Canada. Free lockage is also included at canals managed by Parks Canada on historic waterways. On top of that, you can get 25% off camping and overnight stays, which makes this especially attractive if you want an affordable summer road trip or nature escape.

Museums and galleries are included too. Children and youth aged 17 and under get free admission, while young adults aged 18 to 24 receive 50% off. Participating locations include places like the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, and the Plains of Abraham Museum in Quebec City.

What I really like about this pass is that it’s not limited to Canadians only. Even if you have friends or family visiting from abroad, they can benefit too. Another big plus is that you can use these offers multiple times throughout the summer, not just once.

And if you already booked with VIA Rail or Parks Canada, you may still be able to get the savings. You can contact them through the official form and ask about a refund adjustment.
